Job summary

A leading biotech company in Stevenage is seeking an Electrophysiologist for a 12-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will join a preclinical R&D team focused on novel ion channel therapeutics. Job description

CK Group are recruiting for an Electrophysiologist to join an innovative biotech with a strong pipeline of pre‑clinical and clinical candidates. The role will be fully based at their laboratories in Stevenage.

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

Responsibilities
  • Join a small, focused preclinical R&D group focused on the discovery and development of novel ion channel therapeutics.
  • Plan, execute and analyze electrophysiology‑focused experiments to drive drug discovery and new target validation.
  • Give scientific presentations at internal and external meetings, including conferences and to partner companies.
Qualifications
  • Relevant PhD preferred.
  • Experience with in‑vitro whole cell patch.
  • Strong understanding of ion chemistry, neuroscience and the principles of electrophysiology and pharmacology.
  • Experience with solid supported membrane‑based electrophysiology (SSME) desirable.
