Booking Officer

The closing date is 26 January 2026

The post holder will be responsible for co-ordinating and undertaking the full range of administration and scheduling processes for Booked Admissions in accordance with Trust Waiting List, Patient Access Policy and JAG (Joint Advisory Group) Accreditation standards.

This will include the registration of patients on to appropriate waiting list, booking pre-operative assessment and scheduling treatments under the supervision of senior booking officers and lead officer as necessary.

The Booked Admissions' Team have the opportunity available for a part-time Booking Officer position for 26.5 hours per week on a substantive basis. The Team manage work queues of patients within their own specialty on our patient administration system call EPIC. The successful candidate will be responsible for booking patients in order of their clinical priority or by the longest waiter for diagnostic test, treatment and surgery, ensuring all pre-operative assessment appointments or any other appointments required are scheduled in a timely fashion.

Working Pattern: Monday-Friday 08:00-16:00 (flexible working hours can be discussed)
