Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking a Part Time Finance Manager for a small manufacturing business in Ely, Cambridgeshire. This role encompasses managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and producing financial reports. Ideal candidates should be qualified or have relevant experience, with availability for 20-24 hours per week. A salary of £48,000-£50,000 (full-time equivalent) is offered.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing a full A-Z of finance for an SME.
- Part time availability of 20-24 hours per week.
- Strong knowledge in compliance and tax regulations.
Responsibilities
- Administer day-to-day financial operations including budgeting and cash flow.
- Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with tax requirements and VAT return preparation.

Part Time Finance Manager. SF Recruitment are working exclusively with a Cambridgeshire (Ely) based SME in the recruitment of a finance manager on a part time basis. Due to growth, our client is now looking to onboard their first finance manager to undertake a broad role, covering the A-Z for a small business.
- Administering day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements, including the preparation of the quarterly VAT returns
- Maintaining and reconciling the general ledger ensuring accuracy of financial records
- Maintain and improve financial system processes and controls
- Audit preparation
- Management of trade debtors and creditors
- A Qualified or Qualified by Experience candidate with a track record in managing a full A-Z of finance for an SME business
- Part time availability: 3-4 days, 20-24 hours per week
- Salary: £48,000-£50,000 (Full time equivalent)
