Finance Manager

We're supporting a charity‑sector client looking for a Finance Manager to oversee all financial activity across their organisation. This role involves leading on financial operations, managing statutory compliance, and providing clear financial insight to senior stakeholders. You'll ensure strong financial controls, deliver accurate reporting, and oversee a small finance team in the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities
  • Lead day‑to‑day financial operations, including accounting, reconciliations and financial controls
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial reports for management and trustees
  • Manage payroll, cash flow, banking and payment processes
  • Maintain accurate records of income, grants, and restricted funds
  • Oversee financial systems and support integration with internal databases
  • Coordinate statutory submissions including VAT, Gift Aid and year‑end audit requirements
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and best practice
  • Provide guidance and support to finance staff in the UK and overseas
Qualifications
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CIPFA)
  • Strong financial management and reporting skills
  • Experience working with complex financial processes and multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, able to advise senior leaders
  • Comfortable working with financial systems and MS Office
  • Professional, discreet and confident handling sensitive financial information
