About the Role

As a Bookkeeper, you will manage your own client portfolio, with responsibilities including:

• Overseeing daily bookkeeping tasks for clients.
• Conducting reconciliations of control accounts and month-end reviews.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Liaising directly with HMRC.
• Training clients on bookkeeping practices and software, as needed.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

• AAT qualification with at least 2 years of bookkeeping experience, ideally in a public practice setting.
• Advanced knowledge of Xero (certification preferred).
• Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with CCH (preferred but not essential).
• Excellent communication skills, especially for client-facing interactions.
