Job summary
A renowned veterinary services company in the United Kingdom is seeking a Field Veterinary Officer to lead disease control efforts and uphold animal welfare standards. This role involves managing disease control programmes, conducting farm inspections, and providing veterinary expertise across various species. Candidates should hold an MRCVS qualification and have at least one year of experience working with farmed animals. Responsibilities
- Complete administrative tasks related to animal health and compliance.
- Conduct farm visits and inspections as required.
- Manage and audit disease control programmes for enzootic and epizootic diseases.
- Ensure compliance with animal welfare and traceability requirements.
- Support trade facilitation by certifying animals and products for export.
- Provide veterinary expertise across species such as pigs, sheep, and aquatics.
- Contribute to policy development in areas including disease surveillance, animal welfare, antimicrobial resistance.
