SEN Teaching assistant Harrogate , North Yorkshire

Academic Appointments are working alongside a number of Primary Schools in North Yorkshire, who are looking to appoint SEN Teaching Assistants.

Mainstream schools are looking to work with passionate and caring individuals, promoting the school’s vision of creating a ‘safe, joyful learning’ environment for every child in their care.

Pupils may have communication, sensory or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs as well as challenging behaviours. It has been remarked that pupils are not only happy but keen to learn.

The roles available are due to start immediately on an on‑going basis.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role / in school is preferable
• Care background would be an advantage
• 2x references will need to be obtained
• A valid DBS on the update system (or be willing to obtain one)
