Job summary
A leading manufacturing firm in Featherstone/Normanton is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to provide plant-wide maintenance services and support production targets. The ideal candidate will have a recognized engineering qualification and a strong focus on health and safety. This role offers a competitive salary of £51,800 per annum along with training and career development opportunities, a KPI bonus, and attractive employee benefits.

- Providing plant-wide maintenance service and support to maintain production targets.
- Monitor and supply Engineering support for machine set-up and changeovers.
The Maintenance Engineer vacancy is working with a market leading listed manufacturing business, based in the Wakefield area (Featherstone/Normanton). The position offers excellent opportunities for both training and career development.
- Hours of work – Days and Nights 4 on 4 off
- Salary – £51,800 per annum
- Location – Featherstone/Normanton
- KPI Bonus of 7%
- OT paid at 1.5 and 2x

- Providing plant-wide maintenance service, departmental support and repairs ensuring that all production targets are maintained – maintaining factory manufacturing machinery
- Monitor & supply Engineering support of machine set-up & changeovers to ensure that the product conforms to any quality assurance standards and ensuring changeovers are as efficient as possible.
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or equivalent, e.g. NVQ, City and Guilds, ONC, BTEC or above – Mechanical or Electrical
- High degree of Health & Safety awareness.
- Ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to problems.
