Job summary
A commercial construction company is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee electrical installation works on a commercial office fit-out project. You will manage site activities, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and lead a team of electricians. Required qualifications include at least 3 years of experience in electrical works and a valid ECS Gold Card. This freelance role offers a dynamic working environment in London.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience supervising or managing electrical works on commercial projects.
- Proven experience working on office fit out or CAT A/CAT B projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical installation standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all electrical activities on site.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure high standards of installation.
- Monitor progress against the programme and drive corrective actions.

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee electrical installation works on a commercial office fit out project. This freelance role requires strong leadership on site, excellent technical understanding, and the ability to drive quality, safety, and programme performance.
- Manage and oversee all electrical activities on site, including electricians and subcontractors
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and design information; ensure all works comply with project requirements
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure high standards of installation
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, and other trade leads to coordinate sequencing and resolve issues
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety policies, including RAMS, PPE requirements, and safe working practices
- Review, verify, and ensure accuracy of testing, inspection, and commissioning documentation
- Monitor progress against the programme, highlight delays or risks, and drive corrective actions
- Support snagging, QA/QC processes, and completion of handover and close-out documentation
- Maintain clear and accurate daily/weekly site reports, labour records, and materials tracking
- Minimum 3 years' experience supervising or managing electrical works on commercial projects
- Proven experience working on office fit out or CAT A/CAT B projects
- Valid ECS Gold Card
- SSSTS (SMSTS beneficial)
- Strong understanding of electrical installation standards, compliance, and commissioning processes
- Full UK Driving Licence
