A leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced multiskilled fitter/assembler in Leeds. This role involves fitting distribution and power units, preparing assembly instructions, and ensuring quality standards. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in a mechanical/electrical environment. The position offers a negotiable salary, a 9-day fortnight, 25 days holiday, and additional benefits including healthcare and bonuses.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Fit various types of distribution and power units.
  • Prepare for assembly by gathering parts and studying blueprints.
  • Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to standards.
  • Maintain general workshop housekeeping and report issues.

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced multiskilled fitter / assembler to join a leading manufacturing company who specialise in providing electrical solutions to various industries.

Job Description
  • Fitting of various types of distribution and power units.
  • Preparation of work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
  • Assembly of components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Maintenance of the highest level of workmanship standards and product quality ensuring products are produced and delivered OTIF to the customers' requirements.
  • Checking and completing all paperwork associated with the works order.
  • Performance of area housekeeping activities, including prompt reporting of problems, shortages or equipment breakdown.
  • Using general workshop machinery and hand tools related to the fitting role.
  • Quality inspection of colleague's output.
