Electrical Control and InstrumentationSystems Engineer
Full time
Derby, Onsite withflexible working (In office 3 days a week, WFH 2 days aweek)
Multiple exciting opportunities have arisen for anElectrical Control and Instrumentation Systems Engineer to work on thenew generation of Submarine EC&I, Dreadnought and SSNA.
TheEC&I Sub-system teams are responsible for the end-to-end design of thereactor C&I, integration, commissioning, power systems control andsensors. The lifecycle of design work ranges from product concept,detailed design, V&V, production and build and commissioning support.There are opportunities in various areas of the Sub-systems departmentand the successful candidates will be aligned to their strengths. TheSub-systems department interface with several internal and externalteams such as supply chain support, manufacturing engineering support(IPT). Direct support is provided to the Barrow site office and theshipbuilder through build and commissioning documentation and issueresolution. The departments work supports both the Dreadnought andSSNA programmes.

What you will be doing:
Youwill be responsible for designing the C&I, power systems control andsensors products that support, monitor and protect the reactor plant.Additionally you will be responsible for integrating the varioussub-systems, defining commissioning strategy/documentation andsupporting external teams/vendors. Candidates will be aligned to theirstrengths against the fours areas listed . Additionally, you willbe:nSpecifying product level requirements and working with vendors toensure these have been metVerifying the final product against theoriginal design requirementsManaging the requirements, includingtraceability, through the product maturity gatesReviewing andapproving design intent documentationSupport shipbuilder/vendor buildand commissioning issue resolution/documentation.
