Job summary
A well-established education provider in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Electrical Trainer for a temporary contract role. The trainer will deliver structured classroom-based teaching and assessments to electrical apprentices, helping them through their qualifications. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in electrical training, recognised teaching qualifications, and the ability to engage and motivate learners effectively. This opportunity focuses on quality delivery and learner progression.
Qualifications
- Level 3 Electrical qualification such as 2365, 8202, 2330, or 2360, or equivalent.
- Recognised teaching qualification such as AET, CET, or equivalent.
- Proven experience delivering electrical training within apprenticeships or FE settings.
- Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards, gateway, and EPA requirements.
- Confident classroom presence with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a structured electrical curriculum aligned to apprenticeship standards and EPA requirements.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
- Conduct progress reviews and provide clear, constructive feedback to learners.
- Prepare apprentices for gateway and End Point Assessment.
- Liaise with employers, curriculum teams, and EPA organisations to support learner progression.
- Maintain accurate learner records and off-the-job training evidence using approved systems.
- Support learners with additional needs in collaboration with ALS teams.
