Job summary
An esteemed construction firm in Liverpool is seeking an ambitious Assistant Design Manager to support the design process from concept to completion. You will assist the Senior Design Manager in managing design coordination and work closely with various teams to ensure compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Architecture or Engineering and experience in design management. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in this dynamic role.

Reporting to the Senior Design Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the coordination and delivery of the design process from initial concept through to completion.
- Assist the Senior Design Manager in managing and coordinating the design process across all project phases.
- Work closely with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to facilitate efficient communication and document flow.
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical submissions for compliance, constructability, and alignment with the Building Safety Act.
- Maintain and monitor design programmes, trackers, and action plans.
- Help identify and resolve potential design issues early in the process.
- Degree-qualified in Architecture, Engineering, or a related construction discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in design coordination or assistant design management within the construction or development sector.
- Understanding of the Building Safety Act regulations and their impact on the design and construction process.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage across technical and non-technical teams.
- Knowledge of BIM processes and wider industry standards is advantageous.
