A prominent healthcare organization in London seeks a candidate to support cardiovascular disease prevention efforts. The role involves clinical service support and managing outreach programmes, requiring collaboration with healthcare professionals and community stakeholders. The second part of the role focuses on the outreach programme ELOPE, which leads and supports management of cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors and health promotion in the community for both primary and secondary prevention. This involves working with schools, employers and media.
This role will be split into two main areas of focus – one supporting existing clinical services for cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevention, and one supporting the CVD prevention outreach programme of East London Cardiovascular Disease Prevention (ELOPE).
The existing clinical prevention services include CVD risk & lipids, clinical pharmacology and hypertension, and cardio rehab. The role involves working closely with the Integrated Care Board. There is also an expectation to support funding applications for research grants or other bids. You will be working with consultants, nurses and community staff such as social prescribers to provide high quality care to patients. East London Cardiovascular Disease Prevention sits within the Specialised Cardiology directorate, alongside seven other specialist services.
