Role Purpose
The Revenue Director is the business’s most senior revenue leader and is accountable for aligning people, process, and strategy to ensure predictable, repeatable, and scalable growth.
The Revenue Director is responsible for the end-to-end performance of revenue generation across the organisation. This role sets the sales strategy and oversees all revenue-driving functions including net-new sales, partner-led sales, account growth, and renewals. The Revenue Director ensures the business not only meets its forecast but exceeds it, balancing growth with strategic positioning in the market.
The Revenue Director works within the leadership team, collaborating directly with Sales, Partnerships, Commercial Strategy, Account Management, and Mobilisation teams to deliver joined-up revenue results. This includes direct accountability for sales performance, conversion rates, commercial forecasting, and sales process maturity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of business development and top-of-funnel activity, with a focus on winning new clients and building a high-quality, sustainable pipeline through a mix of personal outreach, strategic initiatives, and effective team collaboration.
- Be fully accountable for pipeline strength and overall revenue delivery, playing a hands-on role in success, and ensuring the business hits or exceeds its growth targets.
- Activate and leverage an established network to open doors, accelerate opportunities, and drive immediate commercial momentum.
- Work with the CFO to set the company’s revenue targets and lead performance against them.
- Establish stretch targets above forecast and hold functional leaders accountable for contribution.
- Work with the CFO to ensure revenue and forecasting aligns to strategic goals aswell as new clients, existing accounts, and partnerships.
- Align sales activity with commercial strategy, bid performance, and product focus.
- Champion repeatable, measurable sales processes and strong use of systems (e.g. Hubspot).
- Use market insight to adjust targeting, refine offers, and anticipate emerging revenue risks or opportunities.
- Explore strategic growth levers including frameworks, sector penetration, and partnerships.
Your Experience
To succeed in this role, you will bring substantial commercial and strategic sales leadership experience. You will demonstrate:
- A proven track record of delivering consistent revenue growth across multiple channels, including new business and existing client expansion.
- Experience in shaping and leading company-wide revenue strategies aligned with overall business goals.
- Prior ownership of complex forecasting and pipeline management, ideally using platforms such as Hubspot.
- Demonstrated success in building scalable sales processes that drive predictable performance and enable growth.
- Experience collaborating closely with Finance and Executive teams to set and deliver on revenue goals.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and the ability to leverage insights to influence go-to-market positioning and account targeting.
- Experience leading sales transformation initiatives, including systems adoption, process maturity, and capability building.
- Commercially astute, with a history of identifying and executing growth levers (e.g. new verticals, frameworks, international expansion).
- Previous leadership of high-performing commercial teams in a tech consultancy or tech professional services environment
