This role is perfect for individuals looking to gain school-based experience, whether you're a recent graduate, aspiring teacher, or someone with strong youth work or classroom support experience.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences by delivering pre-set work and managing classroom behaviour.
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a range of subjects
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
- Support students with their tasks and engagement
- Follow school policies and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Experience working with young people (school-based or similar)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A confident, adaptable, and proactive approach
- A passion for supporting students' education
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
