Are you looking for your next career move? Broxbourne Borough Council's Housing Advice Service is recruiting a professional and enthusiastic person to join its ambitious and innovative Financial Inclusion and support team. You would be working with a dedicated team supporting those who are experiencing homelessness to secure settled accommodation.
Ideally we are seeking someone with previous experience in a Local Authority homelessness setting and a good understanding of relevant legislation. This is a varied and rewarding role involving case management and collaborative working with partner agencies, and using your initiative to make a real difference. You will need to be highly motivated, genuinely passionate about helping others and experienced in customer‑facing roles.
Excellent verbal communication skills in fluent English are essential as this role requires having sensitive conversations and managing customer expectations effectively. Good written and analytical skills are equally important; therefore a GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths is fundamental. A full driving licence is also required as visits to clients in the community will be part of the role.
