Locum Specialty Doctor in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine
University Hospital Monklands
University Hospital Monklands (UHM) is seeking experienced Specialty Doctors to join its established team of Anaesthetists and the wider multidisciplinary team. We are currently recruiting for three posts, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and supportive department delivering high-quality patient care.
The Anaesthetics Department is part of the Surgical & Critical Care Directorate, which provides services within a 7 theatre main operating suite and a stand-alone 2 theatre day unit. There is a 10 bedded Level II/III ICU, normally admitting approximately 600 patients per year and 6 Level I surgical beds, admitting over 200 patients per year.
The successful applicants will contribute to the provision of general anaesthesia within the main theatre and day surgery unit, as well as the delivery of critical care, including out of hours work. The balance between critical care and anesthesia will depend on the successful candidates' preferences and service needs. There will be dedicated time to allow development of a special interest – either Simulation, quality improvement or clinical research.
University Hospital Monklands is a district general hospital allowing a varied practice and is also home to all major ENT, head and neck, and urology cases for NHS Lanarkshire, as well as general surgery, vascular access, OMFS, and dental services.
Situated in West Central Scotland, University Hospital Monklands is easily accessible from a wide area, allowing commuting from city, suburban, and rural locales.
Potential applicants are encouraged to find out more and contact us for further details.
