A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a qualified professional for a key leadership role in Liaison Psychiatry. We are delighted to be advertising a 1.0 whole-time equivalent (WTE) post which has been created by new monies, designed to enhance the medical cover at the Ealing Liaison Psychiatry service.
Ealing LPS service operates the Core-24 liaison psychiatry model, in line with NHS England commissioning guidelines. The service provides rapid and effective input to patients in all inpatient wards and ED in Ealing. The service sees patients over the age of 16 regardless of address or GP location. ELPS operates 24 hours, every day. Out-of-hours medical cover is provided by the on-call medical rota. The ELPS has good relationships with hospital clinicians and leaders. The high-intensity user service is run jointly by LPS and ED consultants and includes a dedicated social prescriber.
The post-holder will work collaboratively with the ELPS team manager and existing consultant psychiatrists to provide leadership and clinical expertise to the liaison psychiatry team to deliver a responsive and high-quality service. The post-holder will be pivotal to the ethos of the team and further integration of the liaison psychiatry service with the acute and mental health trusts' services.
