Senior Sous Chef | Full-time

The role |
As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspiring leader, fostering a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development of your team, driving restaurant performance, and ensuring excellent results.
Responsibilities include |
- Creating a caring and supportive environment, celebrating successes, nurturing talent, and role modeling coaching within the management team.
- Ensuring an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards for food preparation and safety, and empowering your team with necessary skills and mindset.
- Maintaining spotless food, health, and safety standards, understanding financial performance including gross profit, stock control, and labour costs, and proactively spotting opportunities.
- Building a coaching culture, working with the Head Chef on recruitment and ongoing development, and fostering personal and professional growth within your team.
- Being a forward-thinking problem solver, able to make quick decisions and adapt to changing demands.
What we look for |
- Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, driving performance in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with genuine care, ensuring your team feels supported and heard.
- Experience maintaining high standards for food, health, safety, and financial performance including GP and stock control.
- Ability to manage labour costs and respond to operational demands.
- Leadership qualities that inspire and engage your team, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and valued.
- A proactive problem solver with quick decision-making skills.
