You will provide practical, personal and emotional care and support and to WNC customers who may have a range of different health and social care needs.

You will support the customer to maintain or develop social networks and interests, where required organising and or participating in activities of the customer's choice. To always be mindful of treating customers with kindness, respect and compassion, that helps foster a feeling of happiness and contentment for customers in their home or place they visit.

Awareness of sensitivity and discretion in all verbal and written information (Data Protection).

Demonstrate awareness/understanding of equal opportunities and other people's behavioural, physical, social and welfare needs.

12 or 8-hour shifts are available with a mix of earlies and lates, with alternate weekend working.

About you

You may be a senior carer that has stepped in to assist your manager and looking for the next permanent move or a current Shift lead wishing to gain more experience to develop yourself for your future.

With your previous experience in care leadership, and NVQ Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care (ideal), you'll join our team in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

To contribute, as a senior member of staff, to the overall management and development of service provision in a given geographical area, planning for the future development of services to meet the needs of customers from diverse cultural communities.

To contribute to the process of annual resource requirements reviews, monitoring budgets and planning budget needs for the future to determine where customer needs can be met within budget restraints.

To actively promote a customer voice in the provision of the service, including the encouragement of self and citizen advocacy.

Demonstrate awareness/understanding of equal opportunities and other people's behavioural, physical, social and welfare needs.

We will offer 2.5 weeks induction training and a further 2-4 weeks "Buddy scheme" too. We will settle you in, there's no pressure to "hit the ground running"!

You will understand the Quality Commission (CQC) and to have good knowledge in all relevant legislation and regulations. Your role will involve ensuring that the home provides high-quality care and support to residents.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate, at our cost.
