Job Title – Conveyancer/Property Lawyer

Our client acts for a number of developer clients on the sale of plots and properties and they are recruiting aConveyancer/Property Lawyer.

They have an enviable reputation in the market, dealing with high quality transactional work forproperty investors, developers, funders and occupiers as well as local authorities

In the role you will be managing a large and varied caseload with precision and commerciality. Another part of the role is dealing with plot sales for developer clients in the main whilst also handling the sale and purchase of high value and investment residential property transactions, often for high net worth clients

Responsibilities:

• Providing general property advice as required including issues relating to road and sewer agreements
• Demonstrating an understanding of client needs and working to their goals
• Supervision and management of a paralegal in the team
• Playing a very active role in building relationships with existing clients
• Meeting financial targets
• Liaising with the other private client and commercial departments, raising one’s profile and attracting referrals

Key Skills/Experience Needed:

• CLC qualification / 3 years post qualification experience of residential property work
• An in-depth understanding of client needs; able to pre-empt issues and exceed client expectations
• Client focus; the ability to build and sustain relationships
• The ability to work well under pressure with limited supervision
• Solid IT skills with a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience of working a case management system would also be desirable
• Good numeracy skills in order to deal accurately with account balances
• Excellent organisational skills
• A good eye for detail, presentation and overall high work standards
