Continued investment, new customers, and a strong order book have created the opportunity for an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer to join our skilled engineering team.
We are looking for an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer with a strong background in precision machining to take on a key role in programming, setting, and supporting the manufacture of high-spec components. The successful candidate will be responsible for offline programming using CAD/CAM software, and will be expected to play a hands‑on role in the setting and optimisation of CNC processes.
- Offline programming of complex 5‑axis CNC parts using industry‑standard CAD/CAM software
- Creating programs for precision‑machined components used in aerospace, defence, and motorsport applications
- Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and 3D models
- Selecting tools, speeds, and feeds to ensure efficient and accurate machining
- CNC machine setting and supporting first‑off production runs
- Working closely with machinists and engineering to resolve production issuesContributing to continuous improvement and process optimisation
- Proven experience as a 5‑Axis CNC Programmer within a high‑precision engineering environment
- Strong CAD/CAM programming skills with experience using offline programming software
- Excellent understanding of precision machining principles, tooling, and materials
- Ability to set and prove out complex CNC programs on the machine
- Experience working within sectors such as aerospace, defence, or Formula 1
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
- Effective communicator with a team‑oriented mindset
- £45,000-£48,000 per annum, dependent on experience
- Overtime available and paid at 1.5x standard rate
- Stable days‑based working hours (Mon‑Fri, 7:30am to 4:00pm)
