Job description

Salary £45,000 to £50,000 plus Benefits

What You Will Do:
  • Lead all aspects of chemical process engineering for product development, ensuring innovative solutions are created to meet unique customer requirements.
  • Design and develop process plant equipment, including P&ID creation, risk assessments, and managing a bill of materials.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create Process Flow Diagrams, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, and Operation and Control Logic Flow Diagrams.
  • Specify and oversee the selection of process equipment such as piping, valves, instrumentation, pumps, dosing equipment, and storage tanks.
  • Manage a CAD Engineer responsible for 3D system CAD, BOM, and drawings, ensuring the accurate design and development of process systems.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot system problems, contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and equipment.
What You Will Bring:
  • A degree or HND in Chemical Process Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline, or substantial related work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical processes and materials engineering, with experience designing hydraulic or water-based systems.
  • Proficiency in P&ID creation and interpretation, along with risk assessment knowledge.
  • Practical hands‑on mechanical skills to support prototype and development stages.
  • A collaborative approach with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
