A prominent health organization in Wales is seeking a COTE Clinical Lead to provide strategic and clinical leadership, develop frailty services, and ensure high standards of clinical care. The role involves collaborating with key stakeholders and leading service development initiatives. This is a fixed-term position for two years, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact in patient care.
The COTE Clinical Lead will provide strategic and clinical leadership, alongside the COTE Service Group, leading on pan Health Board strategic development and operational delivery of the secondary COTE service, working closely with regional tertiary COTE pathway development. They will be responsible for the development and delivery of COTE services within the Health Boards financial, workforce, operational targets and strategic objectives and accountable for overseeing clinical governance and quality. Establishing effective working relationships across clinical and professional groups will be key to the success of the role, including participation in decision-making, target setting, workforce and job planning, and appraisal and revalidation processes. The COTE Clinical Lead will be a highly visible, proactive and accessible clinical leader, acting as a role model and clinical resource, and ensuring the sustained delivery of high standards of clinical care, to clinicians, patients and the public. The post holder will work in partnership with the service delivery group, within the Community & Integrated Medicine Care Group. The post will be appointed to on a fixed term basis of 2 years, with the term extendable upon review and agreement. The role will require time equivalent to one job planned session.
