Rate: £29–£34 per hour

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 4:30pm

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in London. This Band 7 role requires a specialist in stroke rehabilitation, offering an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on patient outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to individuals with speech, language, and communication difficulties.

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in patients who have experienced a stroke.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and adjust interventions as necessary.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Contribute to the development of best practices in stroke rehabilitation.

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Registration with the HCPC.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting.
• Specialist knowledge in stroke rehabilitation.
• Experience with adult stroke, neuro, and acute settings.
• Independent management of dysphagia and communication disorders.
• Experience managing complex cases and supervising staff.
• Discharge planning experience.
• Desirable: experience with tracheostomy, video fluoroscopy, and FEES.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
