Job summary
A leading supplier in aerospace based in Newtownabbey is seeking a Process Operator. The role involves operating and inspecting components, working with small parts, and ensuring compliance with procedures. Candidates need at least 6 months of experience in a regulated industry along with GCSEs in Maths and English. The position offers £15.87 per hour, with additional shift allowances and 12-hour shifts from Monday to Friday.
Qualifications

- Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment safely in line with procedures.
- Record necessary data and perform inspections.
- Pack/unpack components according to specifications.
- Prepare and process components through chemical treatments.
- Deburr precision components using manual and automated equipment.
Skills
Our client, RLC Global Point, a leading supplier of complete engineering solutions for the global aerospace industry are seeking Process Operators to join their team, based in Newtownabbey. The Process Operator process components within defined procedures in line with customer requirements.
- Always operate any equipment or process in a safe manner in line with proper procedure and wear appropriate clothing/equipment.
- Record any necessary data.
- Inspect the work, which has been carried out and record as necessary.
- Pack/unpack components to company specifications.
- Identification marking of parts by either manual method or using automation.
- Pre-cleaning and post cleaning of components for QA testing.
- Preparation and processing of components through chemical treatments processes including spraying, all preparation, maintenance and disposal of chemicals.
- Deburr precision components using both manual and automated equipment as necessary.
- Ensure production and non-running times are recorded via the Data Collection System.
- Select appropriate jig or fixture for assembly of aircraft joints.
- Plan, organise and control the flow of components to ensure maximum utilisation of resources.
- Establish job requirements from drawings, production cards or job instruction sheets.
- Minimum of 6 months employment experience in the aerospace or similarly regulated industry.
- Previous employment experience in an engineering / manufacturing environment.
- Experience of working with small components, deburring and assembly.
- GCSE Maths & English grade D or above.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions.
- Experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and production cards.
- Reading and understanding work instructions.
You must be authorised to work in the UK to apply for this position.Salary: £15.87 per hour plus shift allowance rate will apply - £2.14 for evenings and 12 hours, £5.24 for nights.Work Time: 12 hours shifts, 3 days per week between Monday - Friday.
