Job summary

A leading aerospace organization in the United Kingdom is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure the capability and alignment of the Quality Management System with regulatory standards and customer expectations. The role involves driving continuous product quality improvement, leading audits, and supporting corrective action implementation. Candidates should have a strong background in quality engineering, especially within aerospace/defense, with excellent communication skills and knowledge of AS9100 standards.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in a Quality Engineering role within aerospace/defense or complex operations.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for aerospace and defense product supply.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and FAA standards/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Produce and submit First Article Reports (FAIRs) to customers.
• Monitor internal product quality issues and escalate where necessary.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving teams.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of quality metrics.
• Release products in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Lead and host audits conducted by customers and third parties.
