We have a great opportunity for a Senior Building Control Surveyor on a full time, permanent basis.
At Bracknell Forest, we pride ourselves on being a council which is stable and well‑managed where our employees can thrive in a supportive environment. We understand the importance of a healthy work‑life balance and offer a variety of flexible working practices, including options for remote working and arrangements that allow you to work from home, dependent on the needs of the service.
The salary quoted consists of a base salary of £48,226 – £53,460 per year, a 20% Market Premia, £729 London Weighting and £963 Essential Car User Allowance.
You are an ambitious Registered Building Inspector who is dedicated to continuous professional development and committed to delivering exceptional customer service within a forward‑thinking local authority.
You are someone who wants to make a real impact in a construction industry that’s rapidly evolving. You are adaptable, customer‑focused, and prepared to play a key role as the service continues to evolve in line with the requirements of the Building Safety Regulator.
You will be joining an enthusiastic, aspirational and customer‑focused Building Control team committed to ensuring that buildings across Bracknell Forest are safe for residents and visitors alike.
Based in a thriving Berkshire community, just a short journey from London, the team supports a wide range of exciting developments, from large housing projects to major healthcare redevelopments and our ongoing multi‑million‑pound town centre regeneration.
As part of an award‑winning council, named Council of the Year in 2018, we work closely with construction partners to deliver a modern, vibrant town centre and high‑quality new homes. We’re a friendly, supportive group with a positive attitude and a strong on‑site presence, prioritising flexibility, communication and exceptional customer service.
