Responsibilities
  • Protect the public by ensuring the safety and security of offenders, staff and the public.
  • Support offenders in developing constructive, positive relationships through care and advice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues as a single team to maintain a secure and safe prison environment.
  • Attend various shifts and weekends as required.
  • Engage in a variety of roles from peacekeeper to counsellor, providing direct support to prisoners.
