Job summary
A specialist recruitment firm is seeking a Deck Fitter to work on yachts and ships. The role involves outfitting with precision, including installing equipment and final fixing furniture, all to the highest standards. Candidates should have experience in the luxury yachting sector, an NVQ Level 3 in Boatbuilding or an equivalent apprenticeship, and the ability to read technical drawings. This position offers a contract with flexible hours in a dynamic working environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in luxury yachting industry.
- NVQ Level 3 in Boatbuilding or equivalent apprenticeship.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Install outfitting on ships and yachts including cleats and handrails.
- Perform final fix on interior furniture.
- Execute marine-specific tasks on refits and new builds.
- Ensure all work meets highest standards.
- Use hand tools for drilling and bolting hardware.
- Measure and cut insulation for designated sections.

- Outfitter on ship & yachts. Work including, fitting Cleats, Handrails, Windows, Hatches, Stanchions, passerelle and more.
- Final Fix on interior Furniture.
- Marine Specific skills working on refits / newbuilds on yachts or other vessels.
- All work needs to be done to the highest standards.
- Drills holes and bolts hardware, hatches, and other parts in place, using hand tools.
- May measure, cut, and install insulation in designated sections of boats, using hand tools.
- Worked within the luxury yachting industry previously.
- NVQ Level 3 in Boatbuilding or have served an apprenticeship.
- Able to read and understand technical drawings.
