Job summary
A leading healthcare provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a Finance Manager to provide business partnering support focused on financial performance and planning within the Directorate. The ideal candidate will have a professional qualification in accountancy and significant management accounting experience, alongside strong communication skills to influence budget holders. This role will involve month-end reporting, forecasting, and participating in key Directorate meetings.
Qualifications
- Significant management accounting experience in a large, complex organisation.
- Evidence of continuous development through relevant post-qualification experience.
- NHS experience beneficial but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide business partnering support to Directorate in financial activities.
- Responsible for month end reporting and forecasting.
- Present reports at Directorate meetings.
Skills
Education
The Finance Manager provides business partnering support to their Directorate in all monthly, annual and ad hoc financial performance and planning activities. They are responsible for month end reporting for their areas, forecasting and financial planning in conjunction with clinicians and operational managers, consulting with the Directorate General Manager and Deputy Head of Finance, and presenting reports at Directorate meetings. They form an integral part of the Directorate's Management Team.
- Professional qualification in accountancy (CCAB or equivalent)
- Evidence of continuous development through relevant post-qualification experience or significant management accounting experience in a large, complex organisation (NHS experience beneficial but not essential)
- Strong communication and people skills, ability to present analysis and influence budget holders
