TheGroupAccountantwilltake a key role withinthe delivery of Group operations, ensuring financial outputs are accurate, consistent, and reliable. This role will collaborate closely with seniorfinance and actuarial stakeholders to ensure robust reporting processes and controls.

• Production ofaccounting assumptions, ensuring alignment with IFRS requirements and technical guidance.
• Contribute towardsactuals, budgeting, and forecasting processes,leading the preparation and development ofrobust controls throughout.

• Preparation of keydata reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile outputs and IFRS 17 calculation engine data transformations to ensure internal consistency and traceability.

• Carrying outIFRS 17 model runs and journal posting to the ledger.
• Preparation ofmanual adjustmentsrequiredas part of the group close process
• Lead the reversal of GAAP postings within the ledger to ensure correct consolidation of theGroupresult in line with accounting standards
• Operation ofledger rollover transactions, ensuringappropriate accountingand documentation.
• Lead the development of controls and efficient processes within the Workday ledger system.

• Assist the Operational Lead Accountant withledger control, including the opening and closing of accounting periods.
• Analysis ofthe group ledgerand supportingjunior members of the team in preparation and review of ledger postings
• Own the IFRS 17 to GAAP reconciliation process for the IFRS 17 Governance Forum.
• Collaborate withthebothActuarial and Group Reporting teamsto support the successful delivery of Beazley plc’s Annual and Interim Reports, IMS & IFRS 17 Governance Packs.

• Assist the Group Operational Lead Accountantto ensure continued compliance with IFRS accounting assumptions.
• Ensure all postings and processes are in line with technical oversight papers as set by the Technical Accounting team and Operational Lead Accountant.

• University degree in any discipline
• Professional accountancy qualification, preference for ACA/ACCA, or qualified by experience

• Highly technical in accountancy skills, especially UK GAAP and IFRS
• General commercial and financial knowledge
• Insurance and Lloyd’s specific knowledge
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Advanced excel skills, includingPowerQuery/PowerPivot
• Able to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing

• Proven post qualification experience,preferablygained within regulatory reporting in the Insurance sector
