CMA is delighted to be working with our client who are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a pivotal and varied role, supporting the Financial Controller across all aspects of bookkeeping, management accounting, and financial analysis. The position would suit a proactive, technically strong individual who enjoys a hands‑on role and has excellent attention to detail, contributing to accurate reporting and effective business decision‑making.

What will the Management Accountant role involve?

• Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and cash flow forecasts
• Transactional reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Preparing VAT returns and ensuring adherence to UK accounting and HMRC regulations
• Producing financial analysis and insights to support leadership decisions and identify areas for improvement
• Supporting year‑end processes, audits, and compliance reporting, maintaining strong internal controls and records

Suitable Candidate for the Management Accountant vacancy:

• ACCA/CIMA part qualified with relevant practical experience
• Experience in management accounting in a deadline‑driven environment
• Strong understanding of UK accounting standards, VAT, PAYE, and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills with experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
• Proactive and solutions‑focused with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
