Senior Financial Accountant - UK Tax & VAT Specialist
Job summary
A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join a thriving international organisation in Milton Keynes. In this role, you will manage complex VAT submissions and oversee UK tax reporting, ensuring compliance with both UK GAAP and statutory requirements. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in financial accounting and must be ACA or ACCA qualified. This position offers a competitive salary of £70,000 along with opportunities for professional development.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years' demonstrable experience in financial accounting roles.
- Proven expertise in Corporate Tax management including VAT treatments.
- Comprehensive understanding of UK GAAP (FRS 102) principles required.
Responsibilities
- Manage VAT submissions accurately with external advisors.
- Oversee all aspects of UK tax reporting ensuring statutory obligations are met.
- Assist with monthly closing activities including journal entries and accruals.
