The post holder will play a key role in supporting student success by acting as a first point of contact for student queries and proactively engaging with students throughout their academic journey. They will use data and engagement monitoring tools to identify students who may be at risk and provide timely outreach, guidance, and signposting to appropriate services. The post holder will contribute to the development of a supportive student community by participating in university-wide events and initiatives, and by championing key areas such as wellbeing, equality, and safeguarding. Working collaboratively with academic and professional services colleagues, they will help ensure a consistent and inclusive student experience across all programmes.
About you
The post holder will support their ability to engage effectively with students and understand the support systems, processes and communities available across the University. They will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, working both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team. A proactive and flexible approach is essential, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work patterns in order to meet the needs of students and the service.

Department
Library and Learning Services supports the academic success of students and staff across all faculties through a wide range of services and resources. The department includes teams specialising in academic librarianship, learning development, digital learning, and scholarly communications. Led by a Head of Service and supported by senior managers, the service works collaboratively with academic and professional colleagues to deliver inclusive, student-centred support. With a strong focus on digital innovation and accessibility, Library and Learning Services plays a key role in enhancing teaching, learning and research across the University, both on campus and through strategic partnerships in the UK and internationally.
