Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a supportive and vibrant primary school in Redbridge starting April 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and challenge Year 6 students as they prepare for their transition to secondary school in a nurturing and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for Year 6 students in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Prepare students for end of Key Stage 2 assessments while maintaining a calm and positive learning environment.
  • Regularly monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing feedback and setting clear targets for development.
  • Create a stimulating, inclusive classroom where students are encouraged to develop a love for learning.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff members to share best practices and ensure high-quality curriculum delivery.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, offering regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Actively participate in school-wide meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching Year 6 or within upper Key Stage 2.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and experience preparing students for Key Stage 2 SATs.
  • A proven track record in delivering excellent classroom management and helping students achieve their best.
  • A student-focused teacher who is passionate about raising achievement and promoting learning for all.
