Aspire People seeks an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work with Year 4 students on a 1:1 basis. This ongoing role is part-time, focusing on supporting a child with ADHD and ASD, fostering a nurturing environment. Ideal candidates will have relevant qualifications, enthusiasm, and a caring approach. They offer bonuses for referred candidates and extensive support throughout assignments.
We are looking for an experienced SEND teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis in Year 4.
This child has ADHD and ASD, so requires somebody who can keep him on task, provide regular brain breaks, and support him with sensory circuits.
The suitable candidate will have a caring, supportive nature and the ability to quickly build strong relationships with pupils.
This role is 8:30am - 12:40pm Monday-Friday starting from September 2025, on an ongoing basis.
Previous experience within Key Stage 2 is preferred but not essential.
Skills and experience required for our teaching assistant jobs:
Level 3+ Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ/CACHE preferable)
An enthusiastic, well-motivated and talented classroom practitioner
Excellent working knowledge of the Primary curriculum
Recent primary school experience within the last 3 years
Right to Work in the UK
Clear Enhanced Child Workforce on the Update Service (if you do not have this, we will
require you to apply for a new DBS)
Able to provide at least 2 references to cover a minimum of 2 years
Strong EYFS and SEND knowledge
