Job summary

A leading recruiting firm is looking for a WTG Commissioning Rep to support offshore commissioning of wind turbine generators. The position involves ensuring compliance with commissioning procedures and interfacing with contractors. Candidates should have experience in electrical engineering and knowledge of offshore wind farm operations. This is a 12-month contract position with a pay rate of £750 per day.

Qualifications

  • Experience in electrical engineering environment with low and high voltage equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore wind farm operations and commissioning.
  • Ability to manage commissioning tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support offshore commissioning at pre-assembly yards.
  • Ensure safe use of reporting documentation.
  • Attend sites to verify completion of commissioning procedures.
  • Interface with contractors on commissioning scopes offshore.

Overview

Job Title: WTG Commissioning Rep

Location: Offshore

Rate of Pay: £750 per day via PAYE Umbrella (inside IR35)

Length of contract: 12 months

WTG Commissioning Reps working on a 2 week on 2 week off shift pattern sailing from Hartlepool

Responsibilities
  • Supporting offshore commissioning of the WTG at the pre-assembly yards as part of our portfolio of Dogger Bank Assets.
  • Assisting and supporting site activities to ensure safe, full and effective use of reporting documentation in accordance with Company and/or client policies and procedures.
  • Attending site locations supporting the activities to ensure commissioning procedures are followed and are completed, signed and verified in conjunction with project procedures and documentation.
  • Interfacing with Contractors and joint venture partner on applicable commissioning scopes offshore.
Qualifications
  • Experience working within an electrical engineering environment on low voltage and high voltage plant/equipment such as, HV cables, 66kV switchgear, Systems within the WTG.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of offshore wind farm construction, commissioning and/or operations in UK or a similar industrial sector. Knowledge of wind turbine technology.
  • A relevant technical education or apprenticeship, preferably within Electrical Engineering or similar experience.
  • Ability to thrive on commissioning activities and managing the associated tasks.
