Overview

Workshop Floor Manager

Ruislip

Pay: £21.40/hr (umbrella)

Contract : 26 weeks

We’re looking for a hands-on Workshop Floor Manager / Supervisor to lead our busy workshop. You’ll support and guide a team of technicians and admin staff, help apprentices grow, and make sure operations run smoothly and safely.

Hours: 08:00-16:30; then alternating 06:00-14:30 & 13:30-22:00, plus 1 × 6-hr Saturday every 4 weeks

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate workshop and bodyshop teams
• Plan work, monitor performance, and provide technical guidance
• Keep safety, compliance, and efficiency at the forefront
• Conduct 1:1s, training, and absence reviews
• Work with suppliers and stakeholders as needed

Qualifications

• HGV/LGV repair & maintenance experience
• At least 12 months’ supervisory experience in a workshop
• Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
• IRTEC or HNC-related qualification (essential) -manufacturer accreditation (desirable)
• Comfortable using Tranman or similar systems and MS Office
