Are you ready to kickstart your engineering career and make a difference? Join the Capital delivery team at Cadent Gas as a Trainee Future Engineer and be part of our journey towards a net zero carbon future. You will gain hands-on experience in customer and stakeholder management, technical assurance, and plant protection for major infrastructure schemes with self-lay powers. Your role will be crucial in delivering network improvements and enhancing customer experience.
During the programme, you'll learn about the design and construction of schemes above and below 7 bar, including security upgrades, asset upgrades, customer diversions, and new connections. You'll work closely with site teams to safely deliver projects and understand the regulatory environment.
You will study towards an HNC in Engineering and undertake the first stage of a welding diploma at the Welding Institute to gain European Welding Specialist qualification. A keen interest and some experience in welding are required.
Upon completion, you'll be equipped to progress into a Network Specialist role. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a vital sector.
This role is based at our Birmingham workshop, with part of your time spent onsite.
You will be supported by a dedicated programme manager, mentor, and line manager, along with a community of trainees providing guidance and support.
