Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit an experienced and skilled workforce analyst. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being creative, making the most of their technical analytical skills and expertise, to understand and plan workforce in a complex environment, whilst engaging, and educating others.

This role will lead on aspects of workforce planning and forecasting, using your technical skills, you will work with senior clinical and managerial professionals to forecast and plan the workforce we need now, and in the future.

Leveraging your understanding of workforce planning techniques, data modelling and analytics you will act as the subject matter expert on workforce planning and forecasting, designing new tools empowering people to forecast and plan their workforce effectively and efficiently. This may include embedding these tools in Insights, or Power BI to increase accessibility, and truly embed workforce planning across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will also support the Trust with performance monitoring, workforce plan, and workforce performance. Working with the Associate Director of Workforce Planning, Supply and Performance, this role will support the Trust, and Divisions by providing a workforce performance framework, to monitor and report on the progress and delivery of the People and Workforce Plan.

Using their technical abilities, the role holder will support the Trust to respond to local and national demands for workforce plans, and ensure there are robust performance measures and management mechanisms in place to monitor the delivery.

Working with partners, the role holder will align workforce planning and forecasting tools with business requirements, Trust strategy, and financial budgets to support delivery of plans.

The role will support the Trust to forecast and model future workforce needs, through analysis of national and local data, producing a range of resources to empower managers to plan their current and future workforce.

Leveraging their technical expertise and understanding of workforce data and systems, they will act as the subject matter expert on workforce planning and forecasting tools.

The role holder will use their technical skills to support the development and delivery of a workforce performance dashboards and reports. Monitoring the delivery of workforce and people plans, and associated projects linked to strategy delivery.

  • To have relevant experience in the field of workforce planning and analysis or educated to Masters Level in an applicable subject.
  • Specialist experience of workforce planning techniques, and information analysis.
