You will be part of a team working under your own initiative, fabricating and inspecting various standard and custom products to established procedures.

Job Purpose:

The function requires a candidate who can work under their own initiative, fabricating and inspecting various standard and custom products to established procedures alongside experienced colleagues.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
• Plans fabrication by studying routing, materials, specifications, drawings, and welding parameters.
• Sets-up pipe work / steel work to be welded. Verifies settings by measuring positions and adhering to international standards.
• Maintains specifications by adhering to weld procedure specifications ; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting equipment in use; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Documents actions by completing material and weld location plans, weld consumable and grinding logs.

Experience, Professional Qualifications and Personal Requirements:
• TIG welding and flux cored arc welding experience of pipework.
• Recognised apprenticeship / time served.
• Visual welding inspection.
• Stick welding experience of pipework.
• Fabrication of products in Duplex stainless steel, Super Duplex stainless steel and Inconel 625.
• Mechanical assembly.
• Experience of NDT techniques.
