Job summary

A leading health staffing agency is hiring a Healthcare Assistant for a Care Home in Derby. Responsibilities include personal care, hygiene support, and assisting residents with their daily routines. Ideal candidates will have recent training and a valid DBS. This position offers competitive pay rates of £12.75 per hour for days and £13.25 per hour for nights, with online training available at a subsidised fee.

Qualifications

  • An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months is required.
  • Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving and Handling training.
  • At least 3 months experience within a similar setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and follow care plans.
  • Report condition updates and fluid intakes.
  • Assist residents with their evening and morning routines.
  • Complete domestic duties and basic housekeeping.

Overview

Weekly paid weekend hours available for Healthcare Assistants. We are recruiting for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to work within a Care Home located in the Mickleover area of Derby. The home caters for up to 26 elderly service users who live with age-related illnesses such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s. The home is set over two floors with spacious communal areas available.

Responsibilities
  • Personal care and following personal care plans
  • Reporting condition updates and fluid intakes
  • Providing mobility, hygiene, and physical assistance
  • Completing domestic duties and basic housekeeping
  • Assisting residents with their evening and morning routines
  • Being a companion and supportive influence to the residents
  • Complying with requirements of the home and maintaining health and safety standards
Requirements
  • An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months
  • Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving and Handling training
  • A referenceable work history
  • At least 3 months experience within a similar setting
Additional information

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, we can help you with this. Online training is available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep.

  • Typical hours will be: 08:00 to 14:00, 14:00 to 20:00, 08:00 to 20:00, 20:00 to 08:00
  • Pay rate: £12.75 per hour (Days), £13.25 per hour (Nights)
