Job description

Our client is a well-regarded water company offering a wide range of water hygiene / legionella services to a diverse client base throughout the UK. They are now looking to hire an experienced and committed Water Hygiene Engineer based in and around the London area. The successful postholder will come from a strong water hygiene background and will be responsible for undertaking routine duties such as temperature monitoring, water sampling and shower descales. Consideration will be given to applicants from Richmond, Sutton, Croydon, Lewisham and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience working within a similar role within the water treatment sector.
• Well versed with the water treatment industry and legislations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• IT proficient – with experience using MS Office package.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the client’s air and water systems.
• Carrying out routine water hygiene duties such as water sampling, temperature monitoring, TMV servicing and shower descales on a range of site types.
• Carrying out cleaning, disinfection and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems and cooling towers.
• Delivering temperature monitoring and sampling regimes to a mixed portfolio of site bases.
• Cold water tank cleaning/inspections/replacements.
• Travel to sites as required by the client.
