Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Salary/Benefits: £25k – £35k + Training & Benefits

Due to continued company growth, our client is recruiting for a driven Water Hygiene Engineer who can undertake a wide range of ACOP L8 compliance duties. Applicants will be expected to work across a mixed portfolio of commercial, public sector and local authority client sites, and must ensure to deliver high levels of customer service. The company is an independent outfit who can offer great further training and development, alongside competitive salaries and benefits packages.

You will be travelling around: Edinburgh, Bonnyrigg, Queensferry, Bo’ness, Bathgare, Whitburn, Livingston, Falkirk, Linlithgow, Carluke, Shotts, Rosyth, Dunfermline, Stirling, Cumbernauld, Croy, Motherwell, Larkhall, Lanark, East Kilbride, Glasgow, Barrhead, Paisley, Clydebank, Renfrew, Kilsyth, Kirkaldy, Dumbarton.

Experience / Qualifications

• Successful track record working as a Water Hygiene Engineer within a well-established outfit
• Experience working in accordance with ACOP L8 and HSG 274 guidelines
• It would be advantageous to have experience working on process systems in addition to domestic hot & cold systems
• Able to undertake a wide variety of duties
• Good literacy and IT skills
• Able to travel in line with client requirements

The Role

• Showerhead disinfections
• TMV servicing and maintenance
• Basic flushing on little used outlets
• Inspections of CWST as well as cleans and disinfections
• Cleans and disinfections on cooling towers
• Closed system sampling and analysis
• Water sampling
• Temperature monitoring
• Keeping accurate records of completed works
