Warehouse Operative - Newry

Job Summary

Wood Innovations is a leading importer and distributor of wooden floors. We are seeking experienced Warehouse Operatives to join our team in Newry. The role involves picking orders, receiving, storing, packing, and transporting stock while adhering to the highest safety standards.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations.
  2. Complete daily pre-use forklift checks.
  3. Pick, package, and label orders for dispatch.
  4. Transport product orders to the dispatch zone.
  5. Perform quality checks on incoming goods.
  6. Transport and store incoming goods.
  7. Maintain general housekeeping.
  8. Operate reach truck and counterbalance forklift safely in a busy warehouse environment.

Technical Competencies

Essential:

  • Valid forklift license for counterbalance and reach trucks.
  • Self-motivated and organized.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Health & Safety conscious.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Friendly, helpful, positive attitude, and flexible team player.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

Desirable:

  • Previous warehouse experience.
  • Customer-focused with attention to accuracy and speed.
  • Good record-keeping skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
