Job Title : Warehouse Operative

Location : Unit W8, Merlin House, Capital Business Park, Cardiff, CF3 2PU

Reports to : Dean Holland (Warehouse Manager)

Salary : £25-30,000 p / a (Dependent on experience)

Hours of Work : 37.5 per week - Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

Expected start date : As Soon As Possible (Notice period accepted)

INTRODUCTION

Aero Engine Services Ltd is a privately owned U.K. based aviation company offering the highest quality aftermarket supply chain solutions and technical consultancy services to the commercial aerospace sector.

Due to company growth, we’re recruiting for an experienced, hardworking and flexible Warehouse Operative to join our busy business based in Cardiff, South Wales.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

In order to fulfil the role of Warehouse Operative, you are required to undertake the tasks and duties assigned to you individually and as a team. Some of these are recorded here, but this is not intended to be an exhaustive list, and you will be required to undertake any duties that may reasonably be requested of you from time to time.

  • Working within our busy warehouse and assisting with inventory control, tracking deliveries, material receipt, cleaning components, order fulfilment (picking, packing) and shipping.
  • Ensure tasks run efficiently, and that quality levels are always maintained.
  • Ensure that Sales and Repair Orders are packed, processed and completed in line with agreed delivery timescales.
  • Assisting to receive and book in purchase and repair orders correctly, including checking part numbers, condition, paperwork and uploading of relevant paperwork to the required stock lines.
  • Be responsible for adhering to solid Health & Safety policies and warehouse housekeeping practices.
  • Provide support with the purchasing and sales process and liaise with other key departments where necessary to arrange collections and deliveries from various locations globally.
  • Ensure that all KPI's and instructions are adhered to, advising change where and when needed.
  • Accurate upkeep and subsequent update of correct data to the company’s ERP system (Quantum Control).
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • A warehousing background essential with exposure to logistics distribution preferred.
  • Experience of working with Health and Safety policies and procedures within the workplace.
  • Used to working in high-pressure environments with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • IT literate with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
  • Basic overview and understanding of technical documentation that’s required to physically accompany aircraft engine parts would be an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • An understanding of Quantum Control ERP software would be an advantage, but notessential, as full training will be provided.
  • Forklift truck licence would be desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • The permanent right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
  • A full clean UK drivers’ licence required.
