A leading care recruitment agency is seeking a compassionate Night-Time Care Assistant to support elderly residents in a reputable care home in Littleover. Responsibilities include conducting well-being checks, assisting with personal care, and ensuring safety and comfort. Ideal candidates will possess a practical moving and handling certificate, an enhanced DBS, and relevant experience in a UK-based care home. This role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with well-paid night shifts from 20:00 to 08:00.

Qualifications

  • Practical moving and handling certificate dated within the last six months.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months.
  • Up-to-date mandatory training including practical moving and handling training.
  • Referenceable work history covering a minimum of three years.
  • At least three months of previous experience within a UK-based care home setting.

Weekly Paid Night-time Hours Available!

We are currently looking for a compassionate and experienced Night-Time Care Assistant to join our dedicated team at a well-established care home in Littleover. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide essential overnight support to our elderly residents in a warm and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

As a key member of our night staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, dignity, and safety of residents living with age-related conditions such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s, as well as those receiving respite care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular well‑being checks
  • Assisting with personal care for both male and female residents
  • Supporting mobility needs using equipment such as hoists, slings, and rotundas
  • Responding promptly and compassionately to call bells
  • Carrying out light domestic duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
Qualifications
  • Practical moving and handling certificate dated within the last six months
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months
  • Up‑to‑date mandatory training—including practical moving and handling training dated within the past 6 months
  • Referenceable work history covering a minimum of three years
  • At least three months of previous experience within a UK-based care home setting

If you do not currently have a valid DBS or up‑to‑date training, don’t worry—we can help. We offer online training at a subsidised fee, and the certificates are yours to keep.

Employment terms
  • We have Full Time and Part Time Roles available.
  • The hours are 20:00 to 08:00 on various nights between Monday to Sunday.
  • You will be paid £13.00 per hour.
