Location: Presteigne
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour
Hours: Waking nights.
Driver Required: Yes – must have business insurance

Job Title: Waking Night Carer

We’re looking for a confident and experienced Waking Night Carer to support a man with Spinal Injury overnight. You’ll be part of a professional and friendly care team, ensuring calm, consistent care and comfort through the night in a peaceful setting.

This is a waking role, and your presence overnight will help ensure safety, pain relief, and routine personal care are delivered in line with a well-established support plan.

You’ll need a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle for this Waking Night Carer role, as all of our clients are supported in their own homes out in the community.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a clinical package for a man with a spinal cord injury and associated care needs. As a Waking Night Carer, you will:

  • Reposition limbs overnight to support pain management and comfort
  • Monitor overnight wellbeing and offer reassurance if pain or discomfort arises
  • Provide support with catheter and bowel care routines
  • Work within a calm, respectful environment with clear guidance and structure
  • Record observations and handover any relevant updates to the wider team

The client is independent in spirit, uses humour to stay positive, and is focused on regaining as much freedom as possible. You’ll play a key part in helping that happen safely and consistently overnight.
